The Right Agriculture
Agriculture is the largest industry in our community
Before we were even a county, we were harvesting Longleaf pines and still planting millions of them each year today. Agriculture has grown to include Pecans, Cucumbers, Corn, Cotton, Peanuts, Soybeans, and thousands of acres in hay among other crops. We have very fertile land and we’re a large producer of jobs and careers for ingenious and hard-working people. Those same people can figure out complex problems, usually pretty quickly and always with a simple solution, the very kind of people and skills that most businesses hope to find.
Agriculture contributes approximately $73.3 billion annually to Georgia’s economy, according to the UGA Center for Agribusiness & Economic Development.
